JULIE HOFFMAN

PARTNER

Julie is a marketing professional with in-depth corporate and agency experience in the development of entertainment brands, the design and implementation of multi-platform marketing and communications programs, and departmental structure and processes to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.  She has the ability to deliver leadership, team building and inspiration to corporate stakeholders, senior management, clients, associates and the creative process.  

Hoffman founded and has been managing boutique marketing consultancy, Hyphen3 since 2006.  Julie’s consulting clients have included Showtime (11 yrs), Sonar Entertainment (formerly Hallmark/RHI, 9 yrs), NBC Entertainment (8 yrs), Smithsonian Channel (4 yrs.),  Sony Pictures Television, GameTap, SportSkool, and TappTV.

Prior to Hyphen3, Julie held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at World Wrestling Entertainment, leading the company’s strategic marketing efforts and ensuring the integration of those efforts across all WWE lines of business.

Previous positions included EVP Marketing Consulting at SS+K a marketing and communications consulting firm in New York, and EVP at Grey Entertainment, responsible for business development and account services for the $250MM agency. 

Hoffman received a bachelor’s of business administration degree in marketing from Southern Methodist University.

BETH SANFORD

PARTNER

Beth has provided marketing leadership to top brands, including some of the best known entertainment properties HBO, AMC Networks and Lifetime Television.  Known for her strategic vision, Beth has focused over the past decade on working with early-stage businesses and non-profits to define and execute fully-integrated marketing programs on limited budgets. Her expertise in leveraging inbound marketing and social media has been integral in helping her clients expand their customer base.

One of the founding partners of Hyphen3, Beth rejoined the strategic marketing consulting firm in 2015 after a 3-year stint launching the independent sports network ONE World Sports.

Prior to Hyphen3, she was vice president of marketing at Rainbow Media (now AMC Networks), where she helped launched Mag Rack, the first national on-demand television network. Previous positions included serving as: Vice President of Consumer Marketing for Lifetime Television; Director of New Business Development for Time Warner Direct Entertainment; Consumer Marketing Director of Life Magazine; Television Manager for Time Magazine; and Director of Market Planning at HBO.

Sanford earned an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Princeton University.
